We were in Atlantic City in 2009, and got to watch part of the air show from the Boardwalk. That was a great place to watch a show! The Thunderbirds were there that year, dunno if they're always the headliner there or not. Fun time!

I understand the logic of wanting 5 teams in the AL West, but I don't like Houston being the team to move. The sale of the Astros suddenly gave MLB the right to force the them to be the team that had to move. I've enjoyed the NL rivalries (such as they are) that the Astros have had. It doesn't seem right for them to suddenly be an AL team.

Doh! Thanks, Dave! The P-38 was fascinating to watch fly. It flew in tandem with one of the A-10's there, as a tribute to veterans present. That was pretty moving. I also enjoyed checking the B-1 out up close. They had the payload doors open underneath, so you could look up and see how that was configured as well.

Looks like my old Imageshack pictures aren't showing up anymore for some reason. Odd. (edit - relinked the images, hopefully they're working now!) Just listened to Trans Europe Express (the '09 reissue) recently, and love most of it - except "Hall of Mirrors". I really dislike that track.

Garrett has a new cd out, "Seeds from the Underground". This is the first review I've read of it, but it sounds promising!

It's excellent. If you already have the Brussels bootleg in some form (Brussels Affair, Bedspring Symphony, Nasty Music - most if not had a track or 2 from somewhere other than Brussels) it's still a worthy addition as many songs chosen from the later-in-the-day show that hadn't been booted. The mix is different than the bootlegs as well with the vocals a little more out front but not annoyingly so. It sounds great as it was professionally recorded. If you don't have the boots then rush on over and download this official version now. Totally agree, great performance, sounds good too. I don't think it's 25 cents anymore though. Not sure what the regular price is.

HEB's all we've got here, unless you count Super Walmart, which I don't. HEB ran Albertson's out of town 20 years ago, who couldn't compete volume-wise. Generally happy with HEB's customer service, prices, and products. As much as you can be, anyway.

Sean Payton suspended for 1 year. Gregg Williams suspended indefinitely. Mickey Loomis suspended half the year. Wow. Oh, and Tim Tebow has apparently been traded to the NY Jets for a 4th round pick and a bag of chips. Double-wow. I think that's not gonna help Mark Sanchez, with the Tebow worshippers rooting for him to start there.

I can't imagine any team in their right mind wanting Tebow as their starting QB now. Maybe as a developmental backup, but not a starter. Unless there's enough fan-worship in Florida still for him to go back and play for the Jaguars.

I never got the Luke Walton thing in L.A. He seemed very one-dimensional. And I'm surprised the Rockets were willing to take on old Derek Fisher, unless it's just a money saving contract-dump kinda thing for them. The Spurs traded a 1st round pick and Richard Jefferson for another go-round with Stephen Jackson. Seems like alot for him at this point. I hope he's got something left in his tank too. Tony Parker's been having a great year as the undisputed team leader - hope they can do something in the playoffs this year. They're really limiting Duncan's minutes, which seems to have energized him, but Ginobili's been hurt quite a bit. Some of the role players have really stepped up though - and I really like Kawhi Leonard so far.

Great pictures, Kinuta (except for the Burger King!). I miss Japan - lived in Tachikawa as a kid, and loved every moment of it. And that Tower is amazing - 2nd tallest structure in the world. I remember being impressed by the "old" Tokyo Tower back in the 70's.
