  2. It's a two-disc set on Tzadik, with Haino Keiji, Bill Laswell, and Rashied Ali. My first tast of Keiji, and it's actually pretty interesting. Not sure what I can compare it to, but it's loud and aggressive. Keiji is an interesting guitar player, and an unusual vocalist as well. Not really lyrics to this one. AMG compares it to Sonic Youth, but I'm not familiar enough with them to decide if that's apt. Only Youth album I had was the Ciccone Youth/Madonna takeoff.
  3. Count me as another who's really looking forward to this. I am still enjoying Belly of the Sun alot! I saw Cassandra in concert here this past July, and it was a fantastic show. She played a few of the tunes from "Glamoured", and they came across well. I find it interesting she is covering another Dylan tune so quickly, after "Shelter from the Storm", but I guess she must really be getting into him of late. The other title she played live (that I remember by name) was called "Broken Drum", and was also quite good.
  4. 5. Anybody have this one available for purchase/trade? I can't seem to find it available anywhere on line. If I get ahold of this disc it will complete my Scofield collection, as far as leader dates go. I've still got a long way to go with the sideman appearances. Thanks, Erik
  6. Is this the ScoLoToJoJo+Bill lineup?

  9. Electric here as well. An old colleague once told me that electric razors cause your stubble to grow out in odd "grains", and can make the hair itself a bit curly rather than straight. I have noticed that my stubble does seem to grow out left-to-right, instead of straight down. I'm not sure whether an electric razor is the cause of this, or if it's just my genetics. I haven't shaved manually for a long period of time to see if it makes any difference or not, but find this sort of far-fetched. Anyone else ever heard of this?
  10. My local store didn't have the Scarface set when I checked, but I did pick up the new special edition of "Fargo", which is a great Coen Bros flick.
  11. Haven't seen her in a long time, but she is one of the best things about watching Fox News

  23. I've only got two at the moment - the Wynton Kelly disc and the Collector's disc, both of which are great. One of my local stores had the Dickerson (w/Sun Ra) for a while, but was gone when I finally decided I wanted to get it. How is the Hank Jones title, "Urbanity"? I've seen it available used, but haven't snatched it up yet. And how does this series differ from the VME series, or whatever it's called? Like the recent Kirk "Domino" reissue?
