  1. Peggy Lee June Christy Mosaic Set, MD5-184, in mint, new condition. The jewel boxes have never been opened and are still sealed. The booklet has only been opened to take snapshot of the inside cover. This is a pristine, factory fresh release complete with the original Mosaic shipping box and invoice. Pictures are available on request.
  2. Mosaic Tal Farlow set, like new condition; 7 discs and booklet. Box in excellent condition as well. This is the European Mosaic release that is identical to the MD7-224, with a catalog number B0002992-02 on the box spine and inside the booklet. Photos available on request.
  3. 1. I have a spare copy of the Bennie Green Mosaic Select #3, which is now out of print. The set it not opened and is still in shrink wrap, although the wrap is slightly torn at one corner. This is the real deal. Asking $60.00 plus Media Mail Shipping in the Continental U.S. 2. I have a spare copy of the Curtis Amy Mosaic Select for sale. It is new in shrink wrap. $60.00 plus Media Mail Shipping in the Continental U.S. 3. I have a nice copy of the Tal Farlow Mosaic set, which is now out of print. This is the seven disc set that spans 1952 to 1959. The set is in near mint condition and the discs are also near mint. The spine is marked B0002992-02 and the inside of the booklet states "This is one of a limited edition of 10,000 albums" with the number B0002992-02 printed below. It is not marked "promo." I have been advised that this set was issued by Universal Europe as part of its licensing deal with Mosaic; not a promo copy. It is identical to the edition issued by Mosaic in the US, except for the numbering, and part of the same 10,000-unit limited edition. Asking $150.00 plus shipping. 4. The Complete Blue Note Horace Parlan Sessions, MD5-197, now out of print. Includes the 5 discs and their jewel cases, inserts, box and booklet. The set looks good and the discs play fine. There are a few minor things, not really noticeable but worthy of mentioning. There is a tiny mark on the very top of the outer box; there is some discoloration on the back of the booklet. All in all, this is a nice set, well worth $100.00 including shipping. 5. MOSAIC MD7-225 - SOLD THE COMPLETE ARGO/MERCURY ART FARMER BENNY GOLSON JAZZTET SESSIONS. This is a 7 disc set that is now out of print. The set is in near mint condition. The booklet is marked "promo" inside where the serial number would usually be recorded. This is a nice set; an opportunity for someone to acquire an out of print Mosaic at a reasonable price. Asking $160.00 plus shipping. I have photos of the above upon request.
  4. Most unexpectedly Vol 1-4 came up for sale on ebay. I bought it and all is well.
  5. A few more days and on the 'bay it goes!
  6. Yes, it does. The set done at the Blackhawk in 1963 with Gary Burton on vibes could have been a double album but Capitol released it only as a single. There is quite a bit of material from that session that was previously unreleased. The other albums such as Shearing on Stage, On The Sunny Side Of The Strip, San Francisco Scene, etc., are pretty much the same on the MOSAIC set with no additional material.
  7. I picked up 2 different live radio transcription CD's of the Shearing outfit. The first one is Just For You, Live In The 1950's, from about 1957, where he narrates and tells jokes between songs. The other one is Live From Jazz Club 15, which is radio transcriptions from around 1966 where he is more contemporary sounding.
  8. I am offering for sale my spare copy of the MOSAIC George Shearing Mosaic Live Capitol set. The good: Serial number 939; the front cover is near mint; there are no dents or marks on the cover photo; the discs all play fine; I just listened to all of them the other day; the discs and booklet are in near mint condition. The bad: I had to replace the jewel boxes because the originals suffered some broken retention teeth. The replacements are correct "chubby" style, identical to the originals so they fit appropriately in the well inside the box. The mini booklets that go inside the jewel boxes are all there but the insert from the front cover of jewel box for I & II is missing. With the jewel box closed it appears the same because you can see the mini booklet behind the plastic cover. The ugly: Like so many older MOSAIC sets that had the cover bound to the box, this one tore, too. I repaired it; the spine looks good and the printing is all there. This is why MOSAIC started to do box tops instead of binding. There are a few snags that are barely noticeable on the bottom (not back) of the box. I have detailed photos of the set available on request. Price: $175.00 plus shipping. I am relatively new to this forum but I am well known on eBay, Audiogon, Head-Fi and some of the other audio forums.
  9. Assuming this is a sincere question, it makes sense when you're shipping internationally. It saves a significant amount of postage expense. I really did not realize how much it costs to mail the jewel boxes internationally. I recently ordered some replacement jewel boxes and was struck by how flimsy they were. I guesss they are all fungible to a large extent.
  10. I've just sorta 'plugged into' Shearing myself and rather like what I've heard. Was eyeing the Mosaic but decided against going the $300+ eBay route (...at least that's what the last set I saw went for). Instead, I ordered 'On The Sunny Side of The Strip' and was lucky enough to find the 'Shearing Quintet on Stage' TOCJ at Amazon Japan, offered up by a seller who actually ships to the US!! Three other titles make up that set, oui? Do I need to try and snag LPs of these or have you seen them in cd form? ...possibly re-packaged and offered up as a larger collection or so by one of the Andorran, Blue Moon outfits out there? You can hunt down the titles themselves, but the last concert with Gary Burton playing vibes has extended material that has not been released elsewhere.
  11. Why would you ship without jewel cases?
  12. Want to buy discs 2,3&4 from the set captioned above. I need them to complete my partial set.
  13. I acquired the Jimmy Giuffre set and was astounded by how much I enjoyed hearing it; all the discs. Not so with the Serge Chaloff set. I only liked the last 2 discs on that one.
