  10. I believe encoding to mp3 automatically adds a little silence at the end of a track.
  11. my guess is that you DO need the black to pep up the contrasts and to get "correct" colours.

  16. I've noticed this interesting spelling here off late in the Concord related threads. Is this a pun on the overview of the Concord people on what they have in stock, a case of good market placement by Wherehouse Records, or too much bad beer?
  17. it seems the ad is put in place of a pic. I had to go through some moves to make all four cover pics show. This service obviously does not allow remote linking. Chuck is just being grumpy.

    Hidden tracks

some more examples have been mentioned here on this board. If you press rewind after the first track starts on the Billy Bauer Verve Elite "The Plectrist", you will get 9 minutes of additional material. The same applies to studio chatter on John Coltrane's "Interstellar Space" (though only on the US issue it seems). There is some studio chatter at the end of Dinah Washington's "What A Difference a Day Makes" and apparantly there is 13 minutes of bonus material on Louis Armstrong's "I Love Jazz".
  22. unflac the flacs using the usual software to get wav files and encode those to mp3 using your favourite mp3 encoder. I don't know which one Goldwave uses, it may be Fraunhofer; LAME is better.
