The Van Morrison re-issue with (mucho alternate takes) of Moondance comes out tomorrow. Either the Deluxe 4 CD/ 1 Blu Ray or the 2 CD (1st CD is remaster and 2nd disc is some alt takes) The Deluxe set seems overkill-especially at over $55-but the 2 CD issue at $22 sounds tempting. Van is the one non-jazz musician who I have followed all these years. The word is that Van is none too happy with this re-issue and he posted so on his web site. Much has been written on this on the Hoffman site... Any takers?

I have a NM Mosaic Basie Roulette Live LP set- 12 LPs (MR12-135)- that I purchased several years ago from an estate for $345. I have since acquired the CDs from this set so I would like to find a good home for the set. All is in superb condition-and most of the LPs have not been played. First choice would be a trade for comparable value in CDs with boxed sets given top consideration. I have nothing in particular in mind-but my taste is in hard bop, West coast jazz, soul jazz, big band. Not a real interest in piano solo or trio, and no interest in avant garde. Back up option would be best cash offer in excess of $265 plus shipping. Would rather not go the E-Bay route. US offers only due to shipping costs. Anybody in the US have a small black box (maybe from an old classical set?) that would hold 4 Cds and a Mosaic booklet? I could find nothing on Amazon..

Mesfen: Sent you a PM to reply. The set I am putting together is the Shorty Rogers set. I am waiting on the CDs to arrive from a seller. I assume the set comes in individual jewel cases. Does anyone know? BTW, I have some individual Mosaic discs I have picked up over the years at Amoeba. Board members can send me a PM to let me know what they are looking for-and maybe we can do a trade. I need the last 3 CDs of the JJ Johnson set.

Eric: I have the jewel cases-I just need the soft plastic Cd holders to put in a box to hold the Mosaic jewel cases.

Thanks for the offer J.A.W.. I need four single CD plastic trays. I agree cost of shipping from Holland might be prohibitive. Maybe a Goodwill classical music box designed for LPs might have to do, but it would not have CD "trays"...

I DID contact Mosaic. They were unable to assist...

I am trying to put together an OOP 4 Cd Mosaic set-and can get the CDs -but of course no box. I have a copy of the booklet. Mosaic has no black boxes available to hold the set... Also would not have the plastic CD insert holder to hold the discs. Any idea of where i can get a Blank black box to hold the set? I was thinking of Goodwill for a old classical LP set and toss the LPs. Any other ideas? I am especially wanting the plastic 4 CD (individual jewel case size) insert to hold the CDs in place. Ideas?

Anyone buying this 3 LP set..?
