  1. Yes, that seems to be the case -- except for the mini-lp gold discs which have a 355 designation. As for the 351 mini-lp series, this Hicks one is the most elusive one out there. I've searched endlessly and never caught even a whiff of it in the air. I think Venus lied about releasing it! ....the gold jewel box version you can still find.
  2. Not picking up the Woody Shaw set.
  3. Who? The folks who would bid on a title so that they could snag the way cool extra rare "bonus" OBI?
  4. I'm not sure that $450 warrants a trip to the nut house. Hell, you're gonna drop that on a Jr. Suite at the Brooklyn Bridge Marriott over July 4th! That LP will make someone happy for a lot longer than a crummy night, head perched on a rock hard pillow!
  5. That's debatable. Once Dr. Jeff enlists the aid of Bright Moments, who'll be charged with blitzing you non-stop with 40's vintage jazz doll pics while you listen, you'll soon be reduced to putty! See..........you're already beginning to crumble!!!!!!!
  6. Careful. Don't let Dr. Jeff hear you say that or he'll likely pull you into the studio and put the hurt on you & make you listen to Roland Hanna's gorgeous 'Dream' over and over and over again 'till he breaks you! http://www.organissimo.org/forum/index.php...=0entry361633
  7. True, a good number of 'em are of the 'low key' variety but the overall excellent sonic quality gives them that extra shot of 'juice'. Snoozy and juiced up I like......snoozy and thin sounding (as I imagine those Roosts are) might not be as appealing to moi. Then again, I don't suppose anything can come out of the RVG workshop sounding too thin these days, eh?
  8. Those Johnny Smith Roosts have any 'zip' to 'em.........or is it central?
  9. Saw something in the paper a couple of days back where Wal-Mart's actually throwing in the towel 'cause they can't make a proper go of it.
  10. Marcus, I have a fair number from both series and don't think there is anything different. To this list, you can add TKCV-35111 -- the mini-lp version of Richard Wyands "Lady of the Lavender Mist' and TKCV-35162, Eddie Higgins 'Dear Old Stockholm' mini-lp. I believe that the Bill Crow listing is also incorrect. TKCV-35109 is the Claude Williamson Trio 'South of the Border, West of the Sun' mini-lp.
  11. Fought your way down to 24?? Simply amazing!! Was there some sort of grueling, uberdisciplined, training regimen that helped prepare you for this? You must have been a Navy SEAL at some point in life?
  12. Really? Coincidentally, I received from Mr. Tanno the 'Blues Inside Out' title yesterday and enjoyed the first spin. First exposure to Pauer....guess I'll have to check out one of those non-"dim" ones.
  13. Showed up today! Daichi Trio! Venus never disappoints.
  14. Oh, mid-June it is? Thanks for the clarification.
  15. K2 has: 1. Get Me to the Church on Time 2. On the Street Where You Live 3. I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face 4. Wouldn't It Be Loverly? 5. Ascot Gavotte 6. Show Me 7. With a Little Bit of Luck 8. I Could Have Danced All Night New TOCJ lists: 1. Why Can`t The English?2. Wouldn`t It Be Lovely 3. With A Little Bit Of Luck 4. I`m An Ordinary Man 5. The Rain In Spain 6. I Could Have Danced All Night 7. Ascot Gavotte 8. On The Street Where You Live 9. You Did It10. Show Me 11. Get Me To The Church On Time 12. I`ve Grown Accustomed To Her Face Muy interesante, usted no convendría, Sr. Rojo? B-)
  16. I see that this is expected to drop next week...with 3 or 4 additional tracks no less. Where have these extras been hiding for so many years? Not on the xrcd or K2....perhaps an earlier cd version?
  17. No, he's talking about the Red Menace. -_-
  18. My motto, when working special projects for the feds, is that at 6:01 they can go pound sand. That's when the real work -- maintaining order and preventing the children from yanking one another's hair out over the exasperating issue of the moment -- begins.
  19. Can this thing be programmed to mix a dry martini 'round 6:30 every night?
  20. There was a photo of Plant in the Wash Post yesterday. Talk about a guy who looks drawn & beat. Not Iggy or Richards beat..........but beat.
  21. in front of the comma at the very far left of the screen. That's funny....used to wonder about that as well.
