I Never Would have Guessed It.....
Son-of-a-Weizen replied to Son-of-a-Weizen's topic in Miscellaneous - Non-Political
Yep, so they say. "The most popular album of all time is the Eagles' "Greatest Hits, 1971-1975," which has sold about twenty-nine million copies in the United States since it's release, in 1976. The No. 2 album is Jackson's "Thriller," which has sold twenty-seven million copies since 1982. Next on the list are albums by Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, AC/DC, and Billy Joel." -
Flipped though one of the July issues of the New Yorker today and the #1 all time selling Rock/Pop album is ___________________________. Don't Google.......don't grab the New Yorker and peek.........just take a stab at it.

The Fruit in your Beer Poll
Son-of-a-Weizen replied to Uncle Skid's topic in Miscellaneous - Non-Political
That's correct.....it would typically be paired (here) with a 'Kristall' rather than a Hefe. I've seen a few do that over there as well in the Black Forest. Hey, a lemon slice is one thing....but blending a Weizen with coca-cola? Now that, I just can't fathom!! There outta be a law! -

Bartenders are doing that in Michigan? With what beers? everything? That's not a good thing. Periodically (5% of the time) I'll do the lime wedge in the Pacifico cerveza thing as well as a lemon wedge in a hefe-weizen. I have to admit, the mexican beers are pretty good on the golf course.....I usually squeeze 3 Modelo bottles (short & stout shape takes up less space) and 6 Bitburger pint cans into the cooler bag for a round on a hot day. Hmmm, now why did I hook that 5-iron into the parking lot on the last hole a few weeks ago and drill that Lexus smack dab in the ctr of the hood?? I'm with ya on the fruity flavored beer.... -
Should have got the vascetomy

One thing's for sure -- the last thing on that guy's mind is a whoppin' cd sale over at Concord!! -
So now that the mad rush is (or close to...) over, when does the real fun start with open speculation about order fill rates and % of jewel boxes that'll get trashed? For $3 a disc, I can't imagine that they'll be using white gloves and laying down lush carpets of bubble wrap while processing these cartons that'll be shipped free of charge. I'll start: 80% total fill rate 15.5% cracked cases
-
Good luck with that one! (we'll save you a place in the dog house, too. just don't forget to bring the beer!) She said 'at that price' I should go back for another round -- and who am I not to follow orders? Scout's honor! All she gets is 2 more Creedence discs out of the deal. We have room for you on the basement sofabed if you get bounced out!
-
Same here... ..............well, on 4 of the 5 orders anyway.

Couw, how was the day in Stralsund?
Son-of-a-Weizen replied to Claude's topic in Miscellaneous - Non-Political
Ay, caramba!!! You've gotta get away from those University garden parties, babe, and start hangin' with the proletariat in the beer halls like I do! -

Son-of-a-Weizen replied to Claude's topic in Miscellaneous - Non-Political
Stralsund? Damit!! Why couldn't I be part of that security detachment??? I've got the shades, the guns and the correct beer stein to help blend right in! .......plus, I can spot any would be assailant in disguise who's lying in wait behind a bush 200 metres away!!! -
Too bad Jim A didn't have a couple of days advance notice or he might have added 'Concord' to the CD Universe/Amazon search engine/button above -- he could run the board for five years and have a wee bit left over for construction of a little basement 'recreation' room (fully stocked).

I believe both are regular issues. Rats! I was hoping the Evans was the K2.
-
I ordered the Honi Gordon, along with 89 other Limiteds and K2s. Ugh. I think I'm a little sick to my stomach. The world is a bittersweet place for compulsive people. Woa! Now that's some serious damage there! Give that man a medal!!
-
I'm going to run with "yes, I did buy those 50 cds but I wasn't just thinking about myself....I was thinking about you too hon and got you those 3 Creedence cds that were on sale!'" and then see what happens!

Chris, I read Scott Dolan's July 2nd travelogue over there. How come you weren't on his 'get together with..' list? -
I agree. Instead of going to penalty kicks they should switch to overtime 'sudden death' like they do in hockey.

What vinyl are you spinning right now??
