Naa, had a few kid matters to deal with and a houseguest from Europe who was leaving the next day and who wanted to do a couple of things before flying out. I'd already taken him to the 'O' show the week before so I was hesitant to drag him over there again. Next time I'll ditch him at the airport 24-hrs before his flight.

Saw the James Carter Organ Trio at Birdland on Friday and the Don Friedman Quartet at The Kitano on Sat. Ira Glasser was at the next table (his son Dave was playing alto & soprano)......I think I only saw him & the wife nod off once. He was 'okay'....Don & Billy Drummond were great!

The Evans kid's mom is an old friend of my wife.................they got a raw deal.
