Tell Us When Santa Disappointed You
Son-of-a-Weizen replied to Dan Gould's topic in Miscellaneous - Non-Political
.....though, while I was irked that my Mom didn't go for G.I. Joes and all of that Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots kinda stuff back then, I have to give her credit for not tossing my baseball cards. I still keep a bunch of 'em in that box. -

This is a good thread! It was 1971 and I wanted a G.I. Joe and either a 'Wild, Wild West' or 'Man From U.N.C.L.E.' lunchbox..... wound up instead with this ecology kit! Still has the $6 Jordan Marsh price tag on it!! Huh? Oh brother! I can remember it like it was yesterday! -

The latest Tanno email release list has Bill Evans 'Round Midnight. So, if you already have 'Live'.....you've got everything on that Nardis/'Round Midnight' disc except for what? ....1 track?

What's up with that Winterland '73 box that was supposedly in the works 18 months ago.......when the pre-order page was mistakenly put up on the Dead site by a staffer only to quickly get yanked? Not a peep outta them since..... I'm waiting for that rather than drop $600+ on this one. http://www.deaddisc.com/disc/Winterland_19..._Recordings.htm

So you and Fischer are colleagues? Yucko!!! February 2, 2005 When Choosing A Mohel, "Caring" Isn't Enough categories: health | newborn Three cases have been identified--including one twin who died--where baby boys in New York City contracted herpes shortly after being circumcised by Rabbi Yitzhok Fischer. "Under Jewish law, a mohel -- someone who performs circumcisions -- draws blood from the circumcision wound. Most mohels do it by hand, but Fischer uses a rare practice where he uses his mouth." Notes Fischer's lawyer, "'My client is known internationally as a caring, skilled, and conscientious mohel.'" Maybe yesterday counsellor. Now he's known internationally as the guy who gives 8-day-old babies a hummer and herpes. Maybe it's just me, but except for "I'm so excited! This is my first one!", "I use my mouth" is the last thing I want to hear from a mohel. Officials fear babies contracted herpes during circumcisions [cnn.com] ------------------------------------------- Allen?????

Actually, it's true.... It's a ridiculous outrage that they still routinely do this in America....it's not the friggin' middle ages with folks bathing every other year!

I'm in the same boat with the Randy Weston and Bennie Green sets. Embarrassing for sure......but not as embarrassing as going out in public looking like this!
