  1. The poster has probably noticed that both Chuck and Lowe have a rather irritating habit of casually flicking attention getting politically-charged comments in the direction of others outside of the prescribed forum. If the duo feel compelled to lob quips outside of the politcal forum, is it out-of-line for other board members like Bixieland to step in to verbally kneecap (in this case) his ass? Hmmm, tough one to answer.......let's have some impartial observer like Chewy decide?
  2. Chris, I'm afraid I have to side with Feather on this -- you really should have spoken first to Toshiko, VI Redd, Marian McPartland, Farmer......plus all of his elementary school teachers and Cub Scout troop leader and before depicting him as an "egomaniacal asshole." ......and here I'd always thought of you as the model of thoroughness!!!
  3. UCCU 3100 Price,Ruth(vo)/Party's Over 2000 Anyone have any info on this one? Small group session or not?...how does it compare to her LP w/Manne?
  4. Couldn't we just make due with one treble hook? I mean, the fish is only taking one of 'em. It's suitable revenge for sure....but the fact that you end up concentrating so much on keeping the other flailing treble from puncturing your wrist means that you're failing to free the fish as rapidly and efficiently as possible for the quick trip back to the water.
  5. Too bad he can't list a small number of items (OOP Mosaics or King JPN BNs) for sale at the site where the largest concentration of jazz fans who keep Mosaic in business happens to roost. Yes, I know....life ain't all about charity and tossing the crowd a bone or two --- no reprimands necessary. ..still, were I in his shoes, I'd probably consider doing that.
  6. Jesus, you're still moping around over that? Okay, here....3 questions to boost your score 2 points: 1) Dick & Jane play with a dog named : a) SACD b) Spot c) E. Digby Baltzell 2) George Patton is buried in: a) Luxembourg b) Luxembourg c) Luxembourg 3) The topless dancers featured at the start of a James Bond film were at: a) A Dunkin Donuts in Butte, Montana b) The 'Bottoms Up' Club in Hong Kong c) Thursday evening reading at The Edgar Allen Poe Society of Baltimore.
  7. Time's playing tricks on your memory 'cause you did buy one.....I saw it in your yearbook. Hey, no matter.....you were a pretty good lookin' kid back then.
  8. Yep, to the max! That scene where they swarmed the navy vessel that was manned by a skeleton crew...with the one ant crashing through the glass partition to get at the radio operator who was frantically sending out Mayday Mayday....!.

  10. Where's Greenpeace International when you really need 'em?
  11. Interesting fantasy...uh scenario. Interesting. If she goes all power hungry killjoy on those of us who've survived and starts issuing proclamations cancelling stuff like the Great Alaska Beer Train 2008 Oktoberfest-Brewhouse Tour (October 4), her days on our new planet are numbered.
  12. He's laying in the weeds waiting for you to post this article so that he can strike. Israeli security forces black performer to dance Alvin Ailey troupe member allegedly singled out because of Muslim name updated 2:38 p.m. ET, Tues., Sept. 9, 2008 JERUSALEM - A performer with the famed Alvin Ailey dance troupe on Tuesday said he was twice forced to perform steps for Israeli airport security officers to prove his identity before he was permitted to enter the country. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26623540
  13. I never even got to watch the Time-Life 'Get Smart' DVD set. %$#@!
  14. Vikes offensive line wasn't looking good.....nor were the refs for that bungled pass interference call that soon led to a GB TD. Worst of all, Tony Kornheiser and his incensent need to gab on about Favre. He adds absolutely nothing to the commentary...how long can this haploid survive at ESPN?
  15. This other Jets fan should get a Bud bottle to the forehead for the unnecessary in his post. http://www.mysportsradio.com/boards/showthread.php?t=34041
  16. Now out on Gibson Island in the Chesapeake Bay....heavy rain & high winds!! The beer, vodka and gin supplies running low. May be forced to swim out to the lighthouse just off shore in search of tonic water!!!
  17. Useless??? Hardly. The Ivy League schools are competing furiously among themselves over candidates who can accurately date a UA label by its stylized white or black 'b' logo. You're goin' to Dartmouth!!!!
  18. When you're there, find out what happened to our pal 'Albert' from the old Blue Note Bulletin Board. He vanished without a trace.
