  1. Aw heck Dmitry.....we launch one thread about some high stakes backroom Kremlin intrigue and you'll be zooming into the politics section faster than people can fire off notes to Grey re: his JRVG offers.
  2. Yep, split a pint can over at the neighbors for a late night dessert. B) <<<<Yeah, this has been a good end to a great Thanksgiving Day. >>> .....and an odd day at that. At one point I found myself sitting back and enjoying the 'Chet Baker & Fifty Italian Strings' album -- and it wasn't due to the sauce!
  3. For the record, it should be pointed out that none of the recent slashing, burning & other assorted acts of bad blood inducing vandalism that have plagued the good ship 'O' can be traced to the political threads. On the whole, they've been a veritable sea of tranquility.
  4. The order of battle for today: Maybe a lone Heineken....to be followed by: * a lovely little French Vouvray * a tasty 2001 Maria Schneider 'Jazz' Riesling Spatlese * an Oregon Pinot Noir And You????
  5. Sure, I understand that 100%. But the thing is, this doesn't really have anything to do with actually engagingothers on the political threads.....you simply don't even want to see the forum title show up on your screen as though it doesn't even exist. Well fear not EKE, you'll get to see the signature line each and every time that I post after you! *just kiddin' ya
  6. This is pretty funny. Americans always get the rap for sticking their heads in the sand and not paying enough attention to what's going on with the rest of the world......and yet the first three guys to line up for the 'magic blinders' treatment are non-Americans. Sorry Hans.....I'm still lovin' ya.
  7. Yep, usually runs an additional $100 per ticket to do the full DC-MPLS-Duluth run......but I'm sick of the 4-hr drive from the Twin Cities to the spot I hit every summer 2 hrs. north of Duluth, and that flight shaves 2 hours off the total drive time. W/kids squirming in the back seat, I'm happy to burn frequent flyer mile tickets on that one. BTW, I love to pop into the 'Bottle Shop' over there by the 'Perkins' and give those guys hell for keeping Paulaner Weizens on the shelf that have outlived their expiration dates. Damn right I check those labels!
  8. Man, we could have a field day trying to come up with the track titles for Vol. 2 of that cd!
  9. How 'bout a (Ron & Juan) package deal? B)
  10. So far no one in this ruckus has done anything to warrant banishment. This thread is beginning to turn into a flame war, however, and I may shut it down. I would rather everybody take a chill pill and RELAX! Ok? Quite frankly I find it amazing that so many people seem to be taking the time to send you little notes about this and other personel matters?? God, talk about a buzzing hive full of busybodies. You drop by on a regular basis to have a look at things & presumably know what the current state of play is --- so what do they all need to report in for? Extra credit? Ridiculous. btw, did you get my PM about banning Tod Irzyk, Catesta, Ron & Johnny?
  11. I hate it when I use all of those damn....................... .........but I can't stop. .......really! ......................there outta be a friggin' law!
  12. All I can say Maren is that Mickey better have a cold Beck's on hand for his 'ol Uncle Rolf or his last ride'll be the rotating KFC 'health food' batter vat!
  13. At this point in time it would have to be the Turrentine gig over at Minton's. Did Rudy record anything else over there for BN? Lion was quite effusive with praise for the entire affair so I should think he would have gone back to the well, so to speak. Must have been a great place!
  14. When he gets here, we'll have Ron go meet him at the front gate.
  15. Your powers of persuasion are shockingly inadequate. I suggest that you revisit the final episode of The Sopranos (year four) with the attorney who wouldn't refund the $200k home deposit ...and take a clue. You do have a home on S.F. Bay, don't you?
  16. Like the professional athletes who somehow manage to seed a sentence with 'you know'...two or three times over? I always enjoy hearing that peculiar placeholder 'jigga' (sp?) that the Chinese use so liberally.
  17. Banned.....and still hovering in the 'active users' column.
