  1. Can you fix your link, Conrad? I'd like to read the article.
  2. CD arrived fast, safe, and it prime condition. Thanks!
  3. So I take it the eBay auctions didn't occur after all?
  4. The Mongtgomery box is available for all through Amazon (seller Newbury Comics) for $69.99. I couldn't help myself. Crap, don't tell me that! I recently coughed up over twice that via the Mosaic/True Blue welfare plan. Great box set nevertheless. :tup
  5. Now there's a good wife. Buys OOP Mosaics off of eBay for her loving husband. Wow. Currently enjoying one of my top five black box Mosaic favorites: My eBay acquisitions have to stay under the radar.
  6. That's the lady who's been selling new OOP Mosaics for some time now, all with low numbers, though not as low as the ones coming from Mr. Cuscuna (bluenotesound). I figure she's connected to an old Mosaic exec.
  7. True enough, but for checking URLs an easier approach is to simply hover your mouse over the link. You'll either see a tooltip popup showing what address it will go to or you'll see the address in the status bar at the bottom of the browser or email window. If the address doesn't match exactly what's printed, or if it's not going where I expect, I move on.
  8. I'm going to check out those other late Stan Getz recordings as recommended by MartyJazz and Kyo. As far as People Time - Complete Recordings, Amazon has it for half price. Not bad.
  9. Would you take an even grand? I'm a little short on cash this month.
  10. PM coming re: Jimmy Smith ~ "Bucket" Blue Note 24550 MINT $5
  11. I couldn't agree more! I'm delighted every time I crack open that box.
  12. Jamal! I'm still amazed only one person has written a review on the Mosaic site. I marvel each time I work through the 9-CD set. Think I'm on round 5 now.
  13. I noticed that too. Did you buy yours from Hoarders Warehouse?
  14. No more at that price. Besides, it looks like a ton of alternate takes.
  15. I was just listening to it yesterday. I agree--great set. Good price too from what I've seen recently.
  16. You're right, that's a serious omission. Michael Cuscuna wasn't quoted in the article, so he probably wasn't interviewed. If he had been, I'm sure that Charlie Lourie would have been mentioned as co-founder of Mosaic. Just tonight I stumbled upon this fellow's interview of Cuscuna for JAZZ that was posted two days ago. His name is Gerald C Watson II and writes this on his Facebook page: Though there are typos that makes for difficult comprehension in parts, I found the interview quite interesting. Charlie Lourie is not left out.
  17. No, see....that is NOT good news...you want them OUT, on their own, and then you can see them when it's OPTIONAL, not mandatory... Agreed! Huh?
  18. Charles Lloyd - Of Course, Of Course
  19. Never used them before. I mostly go with newbury and importcds. However, 99% satisfaction rate is pretty good. Here is the feedback listing: http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/seller/at-a-glance.html?ie=UTF8&seller=A3DJR8M9Y3OUPG (btw, it's outa not outof)
  20. Check out the third sentence in the Product Description.
  21. Lee Morgan - Complete Blue Note Fifties Sessions I'm on my second go-around since purchasing this from Conn 500. Sweet!
  22. I wonder if they give tours. I'd especially like to see the trophy case with all the #0001 sets. Also, Michael Cuscuna's secret stash of low number sets he keeps selling on eBay.
  23. I second that. The Lee Morgan set is in outstanding condition. I couldn't have asked for better! :tup
