Ye, it's pretty amazing how popular he is. I have been spending a lot of time in Africa lately, and Kenny G is quite popular there. It is really a mystery to me. For most popular music that I don't like, I can usually understand, at least to some degree, why it is popular. Not so with Kenny G. I have absolutely no idea what people like about it. Very much the way I feel about football. I agree. Soccer sucks.

Doesn't EMI own Mosaic Records? Would this be a good time to buy all wish-listed items before something bad and unexpected happens (again)?

Already did in an email to Scott Wenzel last summer after my Wes Montgomery set took over 2 weeks to arrive (one week was wasted by it sitting around in the carrier's east coast warehouse for no apparent reason). I recommended they consider Priority Mail or even Media Mail, the latter of course being less costly to his customers and still faster than what I experienced. He told me he felt my pain, appreciated the feedback, and had forwarded my email to the "powers that be".

That's because up until two years ago (or is it one?), Mosaic shipped using 2-day DHL. They must've had a sweet deal with them. Now DHL no longer does business in the U.S., Mosaic has increased their shipping fees, and has gone exclusively with either UPS Ground or a FedEx Ground / USPS last mile hybrid. Either way, unless you're right next door to Stamford, you're not getting your package in 2 days.

In my opinion, it should have been along with Z.T.'s Blues and Easy Walker, instead of the subpar Shirley Scott material.

You'd think if we're paying retail and spending a hundred dollars or more, Mosaic would throw in free shipping. They should get with the program. It would be easy if they shipped Media Mail as I've suggested to Scott in the past. UPS Ground is no better but a lot more expensive.

Box bargain available again! Thanks! I punched it this time. Last time I ordered a new CD from Newbury fulfilled by Amazon it came with a drill hole, which is highly unusual for Newbury. Hopefully, I won't have to go through the return process again. I picked this up with the last notification and it DID come with the hole in the jewel case. That doesn't bother me though..... Crap! When I order directly from Newbury via Amazon Marketplace, that doesn't happen. Is it some clause Amazon mandates if they fulfill the order?

Been playing the Johnny Smith set all day today. Still not finished. Note to tranemonk: though not nearly as good as the Joe Pass, the Smith far outranks the Farlow set IMO. (Farlow's going on my sell stack. )

Same here - earlier stuff: varies from so so to OK, later stuff: no thanks. Would later stuff include the anniversary Mosaic box? Just wondering if I should consider it.
