  16. I have seen this duo with their band many times. The last time was with Fourth World at Ronnie Scotts, brilliant to say the least. The cd you want is called Essential Airto nscd 051, all the killer tracks from london jazz scene where he is worshipped like a god. When he plays Celebration Suite we go ballistic, we love him, paul uk

    Roy Ayers

Yes Ramblin is great, met Roy at jazz weekender, he said that he was massive Cal Tjader fan, and played a tribute tune for me, i wouldent sell him my Cal t-shirt though. Love the version of sidewinder and Ponciana, and rest of Ramblin, like the man said if you dont like this, your ear is not receptive to class music, paul london
  23. Gary im going mad trying to find your brothers album he did with Buddy Colette, featuring a version of Samblues i think it was, have always loved that tune, im getting old and my once prodigious memory is failing me, ill keep searching, or was it warm winds, madness, paul london
  24. Cant stand cleo laine at all. Janet lawson is fabulous, also very underated Mark Murphy, Flora Purim, these people are not as well known as Ella and Sarah, but they still bring us superb music, paul london
  25. I remember seeing Gonzalito Rubacala at ronnie scotts years ago, he blew me and the audience away, i dident realise he was the leader as he was only about 18 at the time, went twice it was so good.
