That Ogun CDr was purchased back in 2012 (was not advertised as such) & every subsequent disc I've received since then has been a CD

I used to order directly from her & agree that she was lovely to deal with - she would sometimes send handwritten notes with my orders unfortunately some of their repressings have been CDrs

Just checked the Ogun Bandcamp site & there don't appear to be any new releases there. Are you referring to Dusty Groove (DG)? Have just checked them & I can't see any upcoming releases/reissues for May 1. Can you post a link to those please.

I created my own replica series from CD files & LP burns - got a bit tricky with the later issues that were both mono & stereo (there were track variations)

Actually, those sections were some of the most interesting moments to me. Watched the Sly doco last night - yep, it's up there with Summer of Soul - superb production (musical footage & interviews, old & contemporary). Miles D gets a mention (including footage).

hopefully it'll be on par with the recent doco film "The Summer of Soul (....or, When The Revolution Could Not Be Televised)" - one of the best music docos I've seen

new batch of BYG-Actuel CD releases via Solid Japan coming late March (25) - It's the next 10 from the original 52 releases (69-72) Acting Trio, Braxton (B-Xo/N-0-1-4-7a), Cyrille (What About), Joachim Kuhn (Sounds Of Feelings), Shepp (Blase), Coursil (Way Ahead), Burrell (Echo), Moncur (New Africa), Terroade (Love Rejoice), Thornton (Ketchaoua). Many of these have not had official/legit CD releases AFAIK. (as you said Mike, you'd need to listen). Is part 2 an alternate take of part 1 as some discographies suggest or are they continuations from part 1?
