  2. Speakers sound very different depending on your environment and electronics. You need to trust your ears and listen in your environment with your electronics. If you want thoughtful recommendations, please: * Describe the room acoustics * Let us know what electronics are driving the speakers * What do you mean by "small" speakers? * Where will these be placed? How far from reflective surfaces- walls, furniture etc? * Share some of your listening habits- serious listening? Background music? Volume? Genres? * What's your budget? Are you open to used/demo/b-stock speakers? I don't mean to interrogate, but suggestions are meaningless without this information. Other more specialized forums (audio hardware focus rather than music focus) would probably garner a wider response with broader experiences. Some sites to post this information & question in, in no particular order- http://www.audiogon.com/ http://www.audiocircle.com/ http://www.audioasylum.com/index.htm Hope this is helpful.

  6. I have purchased many items on Audiogon with no problems. The feedback system for sellers is not accurate though (all feedback must be "approved" by the seller before it is posted). You should email or write the seller so you can get a feel if you can trust him or her.
  7. Great music. Back to the original post... Excellent intro & history of "guitar raga" style http://psychevanhetfolk.homestead.com/RAGAGUITAR.html sites for similar style promoting newer musicians/Cd's: CANdyRAT records http://www.candyrat.com/default.aspx Tompkins Square Label, releasing a new James Blackshaw CD June 17th http://www.tompkinssquare.com/ note- I'm not connected to any of these folks other than as a musicophile customer.
