Congrats to the Spurs, both for a magnificent season and a finals where they played a real championship team even. And congrats to them for a series that showcased high intelligence hoops and sportsmanship on both sides.

Haters will look for and find the most irrelevant reasons to dislike a team they already dislike. Lebron didn't leave early. That's what matters. How come nobody is calling Duncan a choker? Because he isn't. The greatest players aren't great on every play. If you hate them already when they miss a big shot, they're a choker. Some guys will call a player with 1) the greatest pressure on him and 2) the best elimination game stats in playoff history.......... a choker. I reserve the right to be totally unreasonable and hateful with regard to sports. I'd probably be more forgiving if Devil Stern hadn't blocked the Lakers' trade for Chris Paul on the basis of "fairness," while letting this Miami Globetrotter team get built from nothing. Touche on rooting for (or against) whoever you feel like! But 1) I don't see how Stern could interfere with free agent signings. It's not the same thing as a giveaway trade. 2), I've never understood how it's totally Kosher for a very rich team to get richer from trades (eg. Lakers getting Paul Gasol, Celts getting Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen, Malone, Dr J, Bobby Jones, George McGuiness, etc., etc.) but if a team gets great because of free agents wanting to play together, it's a travesty. 3) Wade was already on the Heat when Lebron joined them. If he hadn't been, nobody would have thought Bosh joining Wade was a case of "superstars coming together. " Bosh is good, but not as nearly good as Parish, Kareem, Moses Malone and other Centers who have played with 2 other superstars. It was the hype of the Lebron signing and the 3 coming together that made people start acting like he was. His prior team wasn't even a very good team with him. And he was outplayed by the opposing center in the last 2 playoff series. 4) Depth wise, the 2-8th best players on the Heat are not as good than the 2-8 best players on most championship teams

Suggesting that Lebron choked in the 4th quarter because he made a few mistakes is really bizarre, in light of the fact that he had one of the greatest clutch quarters ever, mistakes and all. No matter what he does, some people insist on focusing on things he doesn't do perfectly. The price he pays for being so close to perfect is that he will inevitably be dissed for being anything but perfect.

I still think that Lebron is so great that any criticisms, even if true, are as relevant as " Da Vinci was not punctual and his hygiene could be improved apon"

It seems to me flopping is hard to deal with, for several reasons: 1) You're only going to be called for it if it's so obvious. But if it's SO obvious,it shouldn't fake out a ref and shouldn't be a problem as far as affecting a game. 2) A lot of times when someone alleges flopping it's because a big strong guy falls when he isn't hit that hard. OK, but tell me, why should a defensive player put effort into staying upright when he thinks he's drawing a charge? In other words, I think a guy is actually knocked down by impact rather than falling, but only because he DIDN'T try to keep his balance - but didn't try to fall either 3) Some fans claim to hate flopping, but it seems to me that they hate it when a team or player they dislike ANYWAY does it, but nobody notices it when someone on the team they root for does it. 4) Players in every sport engage in "acting" all the time to get a call. Why is flopping any worse than the other kinds of acting players do to get a call?

But sometimes it's fun to not rely solely on the thickness of one's skin - especially when you're a recovering lawyer...................(as I am.....I didn't admit this on Jazz boards for over a decade!!!!.).................... But I don't want to be overly confrontational either. Points taken.

Hey, if you say so, then Big Beat Steve is probably a great guy (I mean, his name IS Steve), great poster and great appreciator of music. And if so, I hope we become buddies. But I don't think that made it appropriate for him to suggest I needed to develop an appreciation for music, or change the fact that someone told this for no good reason is likely to become annoyed. And if I caused anybody some undue stress with my reaction, I didn't mean to.

I respectfully disagree with the comments about me overreacting Think about how'd you'd react if you posted something 1) on the appropriate board, 2) that said absolutely nothing that suggested a lack of appreciation for music, 3)that was not in the slightest bit argumentative and 4) even acknowledged and apologized for the one thing that might have bothered someone (OMG, I admitted I was looking to profit from sellling music). . And then some guy who doesn't know you one bit suggests -clearly condescendingly - that you should develop more of an appreciation for music. I think you'd be pissed too. For someone who was unprovokedly insulted, felt my response was appropriately measured.

In fact you do. Just sayin ... Maybe it would be a good idea to get your selling venture going by raising your appreciation of the music (and of what you have that is supposed to be such a good investment) by actually finding out what you have. Not least of all because I understand there is some margin between sets that some would kill for and sets that are just nice to have. As for where to sell them if you want to wring out the final, the very final bit of money, well, not here apparently ... The line abut raising my appreciation for the music is way off base and totally uncalled for.A smiley doesn't make mild nastiness milder. Even 2 smilies. The fact that I did some selling and bought 3 or 4 box sets as a small investment doesn't mean that I don't have a great appreciation for the music. For you to make that assumption and then post it as an accusation is ridiculous. I know which artists are in great demand and which I consider great artists. If you had read my post to understand it instead of merely as an excuse for condescension, you might have noticed that I wasn't asking which artists are great and/or in demand. It's quite likely that me resume as a musician, music attendee and collector is much more impressive than yours. You suggest I develop a greater appreciation for music? I suggest you get over yourself. And i suggest that you don't speak for everyone else here when you're appointing yourself as the voice of reason. By insulting me and then purporting to speak for everyone, you don't come across as reasonable. Your totally uncalled for arrogance and baseless patronizing really pissed me off. For a couple of years I was very actively selling collectibles on Ebay. I was so active that I sort of even considered it an occupation (although I would have starved AND lost my home if I was living only off what I was making) Anyway, I bought I think 3 or 4 almost out of print Mosaic box sets in 2007 or 2008 (I think) that I never opened because I knew that the OOP mosaics were bringing big money on Ebay, and I considered them an investment for the future. I think I have both vinyl and CD boxes. They're currently stored and I don't even recall what they are. I've read that ebay is really not what it used to be when it comes to used items and private sellers. I really don't know since I spend practically no time there and haven't for years. My question is, are unopened OOP Mosaic vinyl or CD boxes still highly collectible, and if so, where or how does one sell them for good money? (If I sound too materialistic about this, I apologize)
