Discographies for OOP Mosaics
Mr Mingus replied to Mr Mingus's topic in Mosaic and other box sets...
ty sir. -
Hi. I emailed Mosaic and they told me they had some of the newer ones available, but then they didnt send me any... Was looking for the Maynard Ferguson, Vee Jay Morgan/Shorter and the Solid State Thad Jones/Mel Lewis. Anyone knows of a good url that has these available?
-
So today I finally got an iPod and while listening to a Jazz record, there's nothing like reading a good review of that album. Was wondering if there is a place (besides amg) that reviews Jazz albums. I find it that sometimes amg's reviews are lacking.

wtg couw! This one I scanned from the Mosaic brochure Blue Note Elvin Jones
-
Thx couw! Here are some more: The Complete Blue Note Recordings Of Herbie Nichols The Complete Bud Powell Blue Note Recordings The Complete Candid Recordings Of Charles Mingus
-
Huh? Found another 'decent' one: The Complete Blue Note Lee Morgan Fifties Session and The Complete Capitol Small Group Recordings Of Benny Goodman
-
Can you guys help me get higher resolution cover art for the Mosaic box sets? I scanned at 600dpi and then resized to around 500x500. Suggestions for a better method are welcomed. The Complete Blue Note Hank Mobley Fifties Sessions

Hank Mobley Mosaic set for trade
Mr Mingus replied to Mr Mingus's topic in Offering and Looking For...
I thought you wouldn't give a shit who I was or what I did. Ive been a member of boards in the past and usually, when there's a 'sell or trade' section on the forum, it's preciselly for that. The 'introduce yourself' section is for other kind of people, and personally I dont care for those. My hands hurt cause of my carpel tunnel and I almost always try to get to the point as quickly as possible. I guess there goes any chance I had in trading the Mobley set. Perhaps next time I will introduce myself and post a few messages before I announce that Im interested in trading something. Perhaps it was bad form to make a "first entry" into an "aesthetic" cyber community as a "commercial venture". Now Chuck, please tell me why you had to write that I wasn't your brother and that you didn't see any of my brothers in here. Dont you feel as if we are all brothers? Perhaps thats why your country is so divided and confused, re-electing a President like Mr. Bush. -

Hank Mobley Mosaic set for trade
Mr Mingus replied to Mr Mingus's topic in Offering and Looking For...
And I discovered this place because I lurked at the AAJ forum and saw there was another place called organissimo. The difference between this place and AAJ is that in here I have 4 pages of responses with some nice Welcomes. There I have no responses. If I knew I had to say hello before posting in the trade forum I wouldve done that. This is the first time I get shit for doing that. I thought only people that were interested in either trading or buying would read this forum, specially if I specifically stated "Hank Mobley Mosaic set for trade". If you dont like Hank Mobley, then dont read the damn post. Offer still stands btw -
Hank Mobley Mosaic set for trade

It was more like: A man walks into a bar. "Howdy, fellas. Want to buy a new Rolex?," he asks. "Fellas? I aint your fella... and I dont see any of your fellas in here, so get the fuck out." says the bartender. "F*ck you bartender!" says the man and exits. -

Who you talking to crackhead... I would insult you if I knew the rules around here, but since Im new, dont want to start off on the wrong foot and get banned. Needless to say you deserve a big FUCK YOU! Scumbag... btw - I registered 5 minutes before posting my offer, hope that helps you solve your little mistery. -
Hi brothers. I own The Complete Hank Mobley Blue Note Fifties Sessions Mosaic box set. It is a great set. I played it once, read the booklet that came with it once and stored it in a drawer. I would like to trade it for another Mosaic from someone that did the same as me (i.e., played it once and cared for it). I would love to keep my Mosaic and buy a new one, but my economic situation (being a student) does not allow me to collect them sets. Im interested in the following Mosaics: -The Complete Blue Note Lou Donaldson Sessions -The Complete Columbia J.J. Johnson Small Group Sessions -The Complete Blue Note Elvin Jones Sessions -The Complete Mercury Recordings of Max Roach -The Complete Roost Sonny Stitt Studio Sessions -The Blue Note Stanley Turrentine Quintet/Sextet Sessions Thx for your attention. Please email me or PM me if you are interested.
