I've been doing business with Mosaic for about 9 years now and they've always shipped UPS and usually I get the sets within 2-3 days. I have had two shipments get lost in all these years and Mosaic has been super with their service to replace lost or stolen shipments!

I am anxious for the Eldridge set as I don't have a lot of his music in my collection. I also look forward to the Amy as I am happy to have Katanga on the West Coast Classics series and hope Mosaic will continue to release more of these fine WC artists.

Not only for the 'retail' distribution policy, but the large number of sets being made. I don't recall any other issues being 'limited' to 10,000. BTW, as far as OPs organ playing, don't expect a "B-3" sound. I don't know how to describe it, it's a bit unusual, but it works in context. It would be interesting to hear why that instrument was chosen for those sessions. This same statement was included in the info for the recent Mulligan set.

This is one of my favorite Grant Green recordings as well. Its a very soothing session that swings lightly. I also like the vibes and after reading this thread , played the disc again last night and enjoyed the experience.

Read the ad for this concert in the Sunday NY Times with much interest but health matters prevent me from even thinking about it. How about a full report following this event, I too am a big Toshiko fan!

I've had a chance to listen to it twice and agree that it is one of the finest Mosaics yet. I also agree with your statement about the latest Mosaics showing up on the porch!!

I have listened to most of the Mulligan set and I Love It!!!! I am familiar with a lot of this great music, but its wonderful to have it all collected together and I think that the sound is fabulous. The booklet is interesting and informative and well written. You guys can take that one star and save it for the top of your Christmas tree, this is a FIVE STAR efforts as far as I am concerned! As my health improves, I will try to check in here more often, thank you. This current batch of Mosaic releases is good medicine. Better start cashing in those old pop bottles for that Eldridge set that sounds tasty as well!!

Recieved my order this evening from Mosaic which includes the Mulligan CJB as well as the two new Selects. Think its going to be a very jazzy weekend at my house!
