  1. Lou was a sweetheart! Back in 1981 when I was chairman of the Chicago Jazz Festival, I put together a Jimmy Smith Jam and Lou was part of the band. Over rehearsals, sound check and performance I had occasion to introduce Lou to my 2 children at different times. When Lou met my second child, he chuckled and said "I feel much better now - this one is yours for sure".
  2. As I said in the post, it is a cd version of an lp box they did 50 years ago. No duplication.
  3. The new Charles Ives box prompted me to listen to this set and order the new cd version of an lp box I've had for 50 years It should be delivered tomorrow.

  15. I think it is interesting they seem to have ignored the Michael Tilson Thomas series with the Concertgebouw and Chicago Symphony (4 cds).
