Brad Posted April 2, 2004 Report Posted April 2, 2004 Who is Angel and Manhattan. Isn't Angel a classical records reissuer? Quote
Brandon Burke Posted April 2, 2004 Report Posted April 2, 2004 Who is Angel and Manhattan. Isn't Angel a classical records reissuer? Yes, all three are EMI subsidiaries. Angel handles classical and you can thank Manhattan for your late-80's Blue Notes as well as hit-machine Richard Marx. Quote
J.A.W. Posted April 2, 2004 Report Posted April 2, 2004 Who is Angel and Manhattan. Isn't Angel a classical records reissuer? Angel is EMI's North American classical imprint. EMI asked president of Cetra-Soria Records Dario Soria in the early 1950s to start a North American outlet for the recordings of its subsidiary, the Columbia Gramophone Company, usually known as English Columbia. Angel was launched in September 1953. Quote
Brad Posted April 2, 2004 Report Posted April 2, 2004 I guesss I wasn't clear but why does Angel show up on that technical difficulties pages since Mosaic has nothing to do with them unless they're linked to EMI and their page is down also. Quote
mgraham333 Posted April 2, 2004 Author Report Posted April 2, 2004 The DNS information is the same for two of the three sites (Mosaic, Trueblue, BlueNote), but all three have the same IP range , which could mean that they are on the same server. 64.0.20.164 64.0.20.166 64.0.20.177 Maybe one of the 1500 people that got downsized did something on his or her way out. BFrank Posted April 2, 2004 Report Posted April 2, 2004 Very bizarre that the whole "suite" of sites is down. Must be a REAL drag for Mosaic/True Blue as I expect they get a lot of their business through the web. Hope it's back up soon! Quote
