ghost of miles Posted April 9, 2003 Report Posted April 9, 2003 I know he's posted lately on Jazz Corner... did he start another job recently? Quote
Rooster_Ties Posted April 9, 2003 Report Posted April 9, 2003 There was a Tyrone Washington thread several days ago, and he never replied to it - so I'm not sure what's up with him. You'd think Tyrone would bring him out of the woodwork, if anything would. I was wondering about Jim too. Come back Jim, we miss you!!!! Quote
Jazzmoose Posted April 9, 2003 Report Posted April 9, 2003 I remember him saying something around here about having to cut back on the posting, due to work if I remember right. Can't remember where the post would be, though... Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted April 9, 2003 Report Posted April 9, 2003 Jim's ok. He's had some personal problems like a washing machine pipe breaking and flooding his house, etc. He has also taken a "day gig" which limits his time. He will be back. Quote
Soul Stream Posted April 9, 2003 Report Posted April 9, 2003 i thought posting on jazz chat boards WAS a career. if not, i'm fucked.... Quote
catesta Posted April 9, 2003 Report Posted April 9, 2003 (edited) Maybe some board members should help him out? Well, I do know a guy in Cleveland who's friend has a cousin, married to a dude, who's best friend fixes air conditioners. I think that guy has coffee at a place that is known to be a local hang out for plumbers. Edited April 9, 2003 by catesta Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted April 10, 2003 Report Posted April 10, 2003 I think plumbers in Cleveland know where Jimmy Hoffa resides. Quote
JSngry Posted April 10, 2003 Report Posted April 10, 2003 Hey everybody. I'm still alive and hanging in (albeit by a thread or by a noose I've yet to ascertain...). As Chuck mentioned, there have been a rash of unexpected situations in the family lately, including a MONSTER hailstorm Saturday night, all of them requiring my full attention. It will probably be a while before I'm able to resume anything like my former posting pace, but I'll be here when I can. Definitely, I'll at least be reading whenever possible. Thanks for the concern. These are indeed "interesting times", but they ain't killed me (yet), so I expect to be stronger whenever everything gets back to normal (or as close to what passes for "normal" in the Sangrey household ). Jazz ain't for sissies, you know, so I figure I got a step or two on whatever freakishness Life thinks it can pull on me and my family. The Beat Goes On. Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted April 10, 2003 Report Posted April 10, 2003 Good to know you're still kickin' life in the ass. When it rains it pours, eh? Quote
