Pete B Posted August 27, 2004 Report Posted August 27, 2004 I know there are some tapes of these in circulation, but I didn't know that any had been issued commercially. Just scanning the webpage I see some under Hans Koller's name, also a few under the NDR Workshop name, which I've never come across. I've heard #2&3, they're really nice. Quote
Hardbopjazz Posted August 27, 2004 Author Report Posted August 27, 2004 I made contact with someone in Austria who has just about all of these. I going to make a trade, but if they are out and commercially available on CD, I rather buy them. I've searched, but I can't fine them at any place where I've bought CD's before. Quote
Claude Schlouch Posted May 30, 2006 Report Posted May 30, 2006 Dear Harbopjazz, I'm looking for the NDR Workshop concert from January 24, 1969. Did you have it? Cheers, Claude Quote
clifford_thornton Posted May 31, 2006 Report Posted May 31, 2006 I have a number of these transferred to CD. Will have to look at specific dates, but I know I have a couple of Brotzmanns, Jazz Composers' Orchestra, Howard Riley/Barry Guy, John Surman, and a pretty gonzo Kuhn Brothers set with Barney Wilen. All great stuff. Quote
couw Posted May 31, 2006 Report Posted May 31, 2006 ... and a pretty gonzo Kuhn Brothers set with Barney Wilen. that's the one Claude is looking for! Quote
Claude Schlouch Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 Hi folks, I may receive from Germany the January 24, 1969 session but with only 8 titles: Noninka Blues Circus Dur Dur Dur Atlantis To Your Father Revised Edition To Blow Your Mind The five first titles are missing: El Dorado Rhythm One Invention For 6 and 1 Shadows Skandal I received this morning all details from Michael Frohne who mentions 13 titles and said "Here is the corrected information directly from the NDR files". Curious... Quote
relyles Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 I went to the link in the first post, but did not know where to find the list/sessionography of all the NDR jazz workshops. Does that exist somewhere? Quote
