brownie Posted March 21, 2006 Report Posted March 21, 2006 Anyone familiar with Swedish TV show on jazz produced by Lasse Sari? I have on loan a private DVD that includes a show entitled 'Trumpeten' that has the Charles Mingus 1964 group with Johnny Coles, Eric Dolphy, Clifford Jordan, Jaki Byard, Dannie Richmond playing in an empty concert (or conference) hall). Produced by Sari. On the same DVD there is another show that features Eric Dolphy with Idrees Sulieman, Rune Ofwerman, Jimmy Woode and drummer Sture Kallin. Also produced by Sari. The 1961 Dolphy show is mentioned in the liner notes to the Enja release 'Stockholm Sessions'. Both have outstanding music. Any idea if these two TV shows have been commercially released on DVD? Also anybody know what other jazz shows were filmed by Lasse Sari? Quote
